Ce'Cile Lends Voice To AIDS Support in Africa

Dancehall artiste Ce'Cile will perform in Abuja, Nigeria on Saturday, December 1 st at the star-studded concert tagged 'Nigeria Alive' to be held at the Velodrome (Abuja National Stadium).

The Integrity Group in Nigeria recently launched 9Ja Sounds Entertainment in preparation for the star-studded concert aimed at eradicating the official and public discrimination against people with the Human Immune-deficiency Virus (HIV) and the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and appropriately scheduled 'Nigeria Alive' to be held on World Aids Day.

"We need to keep Nigeria and Nigerians alive; we know HIV/AIDS is rampaging. HIV/AIDS is real.  The only way we can get ourselves out of this trouble is to create awareness and of course join in combating it. This musical concert is to appeal to young people to use their time more constructively. We are trying to encourage young people to meet their aspirations in life through music and to pass a message across that discrimination against people with HIV is counter-productive." - Mrs. Mercy Almona-Isei Chairman of The Integrity Group

'Nigeria Alive' strives to awaken the talents in Nigerian young people and raise morale and self-esteem in the under-privileged youths whose hopes have been dashed by the awareness that they are HIV/AIDS carriers.

"I'm really excited to be going to Africa for the first time and am honoured to have been invited to perform at 'Nigeria Alive'.   I feel it is my duty, as an artiste, to help raise awareness to the fact that HIV / AIDS is real and is a worldwide problem." – Ce'Cile

Ce'Cile will perform alongside international acts: Shinehead, Lil John, Mya, Trini, MIMS and Snoop Dogg at 'Nigeria Alive' slated for Saturday December 1 st at the Velodrome in Abuja, Nigeria.
