Shaggy Releases Intoxicating Album October 16th

Free from the confines of a major label, Dancehall/Pop Legend Shaggy, has seemed to have found back his mojo with his 8th major album release entitled, “Intoxicating”.

The 17 track album is a diverse, yet balanced blend of Dancehall, and groovy reggae bouncers that will satisfy current fans and mesmerize new ones.

The album features a selective list of collaborations from artistes such as Akon, new comer Nasha, a triple combination with Sizzla Kalonji and Collie Buddz. Rik Rok and Tony Gold also bless the single “Bonafide Girl”.

Intended for his rapidly growing “Big Yard” imprint, the album garnered the interest of US Reggae Giant VP records, which joined Shaggy and Big Yard in getting the album to the streets.

Unlike his 2005 album “Clothes Drop” the lyrics, riddims and compositions emit a more attractive soundscape complimented by thought provoking lyrics. The album is definitely above and beyond the spectrum we have come to expect from Shaggy.

But who was to say? The chart bending single “Church Heathen”, which is included on this album, came as a surprise to those who thought shaggy had grown cold.

The album will be available on the streets and in major outlets on October 16th 2007.
