Jah Cure – A Role Model for Prisoners Worldwide.

In our evident joy and elation for the release of Jah Cure, we have forgotten the path that really took him to International acclaim.

The first subject of Jamaica’s unique inmate rehabilitation program, it was within the enclave of a small room and motivation from Gladstone Wright, the programs director, and a member of Jamaica’s Constabulary Force that The Cure found his creative mojo.

The hit single “Reflections” was written by Mr. Wright, Duane Stephenson, and “Sheldon” another member of the local police force. But it was the voice and vibes of Jah Cure that propelled the single to international recognition.

With the help of Downsound Records the program produced one of Jamaica’s most memorable riddims and it caught the eye of VP records in 2006.

Now fresh from Prison and magnetizing fans worldwide, Jah Cure's release is just the second part of the program.

“Current members of the program are watching Jah Cure ardently; his demeanor in the general population will be the guideline others may follow in the future. He has a big responsibility.”, stated Mr. Wright.

Jah Cure was released from prison in July of this year after serving nearly 8 years for allegedly raping a young female acquaintance.

His Album “True Reflections” is available in stores worldwide and online at Amazon.com
