Port Of Spain, Trinidad Trinidad came alive this weekend as the much anticipated “Summer Fest 2007” took center stage on the entertainment circuit in the twin island nation.
Charging the stage at minutes after midnight, Damion held fans in a trance as he walked them through his Grammy award winning catalog of hits. From his opening entry “confrontation” and unto the hit single “Jamrock” he could do no wrong for the thousands that rammed the Jean Pierre Complex to see the duo perform.
But Stephen would
not leave the fans without a slice of Bob himself. Gifted with the raspy
resonance of his father, Stephen warmed the hearts of fans with his
rendition of “Pimpers Paradise”. The Duo collaborated on stage for a
number of singles including an unforgettable live jam session of “Could
You Be Loved”, “Hey Girl” and the billboard beater “traffic Jam” a
single from Stephen’s debut solo album. Other notable performers at the event included Jah Melody and King David. Blessed with a crowd of over 3,000 fans, Mucurapo, Port Of Spain was the place to be last week, and all fans in attendance will tell you… It was unforgettable. ReggaeWire Network |
