Tony Matterhorn who rose to international fame in 2006 with his witty, lyrics and insightful social commentary, is widely recognized by his single “Dutty Wine” which breached the Billboard charts in 2006 and is still a staple single in the dancehall globally. The nomination by MOBO follows closely behind Matterhorn’s 2006 IRAWMA nomination last year in Canada. Tony Matterhorn started his career in the late 90’s alongside internationally renowned Dancehall soundsystem, King Addis which was based in New York. He eventually left the sound and used the annual dancehall event “Fully Loaded” as a platform to launch his international career.
