Shaggy & Jamelia To Host Mobo Awards 2007

The troubled 23-year-old is up for Best UK Female, Best R'n'B Act, and Best Video and Best Song for 'Rehab'.
Winehouse, who has just cancelled a string of US concerts after a drugs overdose, will go up against Beverley Knight, Corinne Bailey Rae, Joss Stone and Jamelia for Best UK Female.
Rapper Dizzee Rascal has also been nominated for four awards at the ceremony, which celebrate music of black origin.
He is up for Best UK Male, Best Hip-Hop Act, while his track 'Sirens' has been put forward for Best Song and Best Video.
Jamelia was joined by reggae star Shaggy to announce the nominations at London's Movida nightclub last night.
Shaggy, in line for the Best Reggae gong, revealed he is a big fan of his fellow West Indian Rihanna, who was nominated for Best Video for her huge hit 'Umbrella', and Best International Act.
He told BANG Showbiz: "Rihanna has blossomed tremendously in the growth of her music in a short space of time and the best is yet to come. She has changed her image and her style of music for her second album 'A Girl Like Me' and I think she's great." The awards will also see hip-hop stars Kanye West and 50 Cent continue their budding rivalry, with both nominated in the Best Hip-Hop category.
The 12th MOBO Awards will take place on September 19 at London's O2 Arena and will be hosted by Shaggy and Jamelia.
Shaggy said: "I think the awards will be hot. It's wonderful to celebrate the growth of black music and I'm proud to be involved."
